Keep it 100 with Clayton Hauck ✨📸✨
Clayton is excited to partner with Buttonhill Music Studio to play host as he packs up his Chicago-based portrait studio and brings it on the road for a weeklong residency in beautiful Mineral Point, Wisconsin! The first of a hopefully long line of engagements in small towns across the Midwest, in which Hauck aims to explore the places and the faces on that map that too often get overlooked.
Timeline 📆
Monday-Tuesday, Sept 14-15: Find Clayton exploring the town as he gets the word out and captures images of Mineral Point to be used as backgrounds in the portraits later that week.
Wednesday-Friday, Sept 16-18: Portrait Days! Stop in Buttonhill Music Studio (154 High St) to get your portrait made for free! While appointments are not required, you may reserve a time slot using the booking method below. All subjects will be emailed jpg files of Clayton’s favorite shots at no cost. Optionally, you may leave a tip, purchase prints or high resolution files, buy him a beer, or buy a book or art print to help support this complimentary engagement.
Saturday, Sept 19 from 7-9pm: One-night only Faces of Mineral Point gallery show! Join us back at Buttonhill Music Studio (154 High St) as the space will be transformed for a night of celebration. Clayton will be sharing some of his favorite images from the week both projected and printed in art opening style.
We hope you can join us for this free event, even if you are camera shy and don’t want to participate in a portrait session yourself (but also: the sessions are totally fun, even for those who dislike having their picture taken!).
Support the Cause 🤗
Clayton’s aim is to take this setup on the road and engage with multiple small to mid-sized towns next year. If you think the idea is swell and are able to provide support in your local area, please reach out!
If you’re a business that wants to sponsor a future event, please reach out!
Lastly, if you’re unable to make it but still want to support the cause, Clayton would gladly accept a donation in any size to help him offset the costs associated. You can reach out directly or hit him on his venmo @ClaytonHauck — thanks!
