TXA TXA Supper Club Vol.14 Outside the Garden
We’re stoked to be hosting the fine folks at txa txa for the 14th volume of their monthly supper club. Please go to their website for more information and to book tickets, if available.
Join us for a virtually organic transformation of space and atmosphere. Watch as this late summer bounty of a menu unfolds with hearty summer salads, comforting Spanish tortillas, tin fishes, and baked breads. Think picnic by candle light meets secret garden video installation.
We, Women: Tonika Lewis Johnson // 5pm
Tonika Lewis Johnson will discuss how she came to use her creativity to explore urban segregation in Chicago with her Folded Map project and how it can serve as a resource for understanding, as an empathy generator, and as a conduit for action. This screening is presented as part of the We, Women: The Power of We, a public exhibition on The 606.

It’s technically the last day of the main build, which is amazing. The Underlit bar wall is getting sanded and painted along with spot painting and caulking in the rest of the space. Excited to have people over next week to enjoy the space and hang! Have a great weekend, y’all! 👍
the end of the drywalling
Holy Moses! It’s finally coming to an end! I’d never experienced a buildout before and had no idea how invasive drywall dust can be. The shit. Gets. Everywhere!!
Now that it’s wrapping up we can give the space a nice deep clean and really get things moving in here. Also, this is where the bar “set” is going to go, which will be a bit of a WIP for a few months. Talk more soon!
